Data Acquisition - Analog to Digital Converters (ADC)The MCP3422A0-E/SN is an integrated circuit designed to enable the conversion of analog input voltages into an equivalent digital representation. As such, it is a key component in the data acquisition process and can be used to measure a wide range of analog signals, from simple voltage levels to complex signals from temperature, light, and other physical sources. The MCP3422A0-E/SN includes a high resolution differential amplifying circuit as well as an on-chip analog-to-digital converter, allowing it to convert analog signals into digital values with a high degree of accuracy.The MCP3422A0-E/SN integrates a 16-bit successive approximation type ADC, meaning it can support very high resolution analog-to-digital conversion. The maximum analog input voltage range for the MCP3422A0-E/SN is 0 to 5.0V, and the maximum analog input voltage range for the MCP3422A0-E/SN is 0 to 2.5V. The ADC also features an integrated temperature sensor with a range of -40 to +85 degrees Celsius.
