It is available in an 8-lead, 3 mm × 3 mm TDFN and 8-lead SOIC packages.The device comprises two separate memory arrays for storing the wiper and end-to-end resistance values in non-volatile memory. The default resistance values are 10 kΩ end-to-end, and 10 kΩ at the wiper. The device has eight digitally controlled channels, each of which has a 256-tap resolution and a 10 kΩ (100 kΩ on request) resistance range.The device also has a flexible serial control interface, allowing for fast and simple communication with the device. The serial bus consists of a transmission line, clock line and a data line, allowing 8-bit or 16-bit communication between the host system and the device.
