Working Principle

The device uses a buck converter to convert a single input voltage of up to 56V into output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, and 24V. The input voltage can be sourced from an additional power supply or from an Ethernet port. The device includes 2 PWMs to control 16 ports, 8 at 5V and 8 at 24V. The device supports both low-power and high-power mode and includes a power-loss detection pin, a brown-out detection pin, programmable power sequencing, and a hardware shutdown pin.

The device also includes 10 general purpose I/O pins and a dedicated SPI interface. The I/O pins can be configured to provide power, detect faults, or control functions. The dedicated SPI interface allows the device to be easily configured using software.
