Working Principle

The MIC2593-2BTQ-TR Hot Swap Controller consists of two independent N-channel MOSFET gate drive circuits to ensure safe insertion, removal and over-current protection. A programmable current limit is set to limit the inrush current during insertion and also protect against over-current during normal operation.The gate driver circuits are powered by two independent voltage regulators in the MIC2593-2BTQ-TR device. The voltage regulators can supply up to 12V of regulated voltage, which is used to power the gate driver circuits. The MIC2593-2BTQ-TR device has a programmable fault input circuit to detect faults in the system and protect against overloads. The fault signals are sent to the PWM logic circuit which controls the gate drivers. The gate drivers then respond accordingly to activate or deactivate the MOSFETs.The MIC2593-2BTQ-TR Hot Swap Controller is designed to ensure the safe and efficient control of hot-swappable loads.
