The MIC3775-2.5YMM is a low-dropout regulator (LDO) developed by Microchip Technology to meet the needs of mid- and low-power, general-purpose voltage regulation applications. It typically operates over a 2.5V to 8.0V input voltage range, and provides a 0.75V to 4.50V regulated output voltage with excellent line and load regulation. This versatile linear voltage regulator, with 1A (typical) output current capability and low adjustable output line regulation, is designed to provide high PSRR performance and can be used to power a variety of analog and digital circuits.

The MIC3775-2.5YMM is a low-dropout regulator with excellent power supply rejection ratio (PSRR), line and load regulation and output accuracy. Its wide adjustable range of output voltage can support a variety of voltage rails, including negative and positive output rail. It features adjustable current and voltage limit, extremely fast transient response, adjustable audio frequency noise and enable pin.

The MIC3775-2.5YMM is based on an advanced and low quiescent current linear operation that allows the use in battery powered applications. The regulator incorporates a harmonic compensation scheme for improved transient response and output ripple rejection. The built-in soft-start and thermal protection guarantee that the MIC3775-2.5YMM is extremely robust and stable in even the most stringent environments.

The MIC3775-2.5YMM is ideal for powering small loads such as microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, ASICs and SoCs, as well as other digital and analog power systems. It is provided in the SOT-23-8 (MSOP-8) package, which makes it extremely tiny and allows for an industry-standard footprint. It also has a small footprint making it suitable for use in a wide array of situations, including mobile and embedded applications.

The MIC3775-2.5YMM operates in a linear voltage regulator, which means that the output voltage is regulated by increasing or decreasing the output current by means of an adjustment pin. It uses an internal error amplifier and resistive divider, which provides an adjustable voltage level to the output voltage. The output voltage is generally proportional to the input voltage, and is controlled via the adjustable pin.

The MIC3775-2.5YMM is designed to utilize both voltage and current limit protection.
