The MIC45205-2YMP-EV is an offline adjustable SMPS (switched-mode power supply) evaluation board designed to enable quick and easy evaluation of low power DC/DC and AC/DC converter solutions. With the MIC45205-2YMP-EV, designers can reduce the development time necessary to implement an efficient, low-cost solution for low power DC/DC and AC/DC conversion.
The MIC45205-2YMP-EV consists of the MIC45205 2:1 DC/DC and 1:1 or 2:1 AC/DC switching converter and Murata power inductors. The board includes an integrated transformer with on-board inductors, eliminating the need for external components and simplifying the design process. There is also no need to mount large components, making the MIC45205-2YMP-EV a compact and reliable solution.
The MIC45205-2YMP-EV is designed to provide efficient DC/DC or AC/DC conversion over a wide input voltage range from 12V to 22V. The board is adjustable to support outputs between 3.5V to 28V. The MIC45205 DC/DC converter is capable of peak efficiency up to 96%, and the 1:1 AC/DC converter with a peak efficiency of up to 95%. The board also features a low profile and high efficiency solution, which is ideal for applications requiring limited space.
