The MIC5233 series of low dropout linear regulators (LDOs) from Micrel is a family of robust, high-performance, ultra-low power regulators. These are typically used in automotive, industrial, computing, consumer, and communication applications. The MIC5233-5.0BM5-TR is a 5V linear regulator that provides up to 5A of output current. It is offered in a very small 1.5mm x 1.8mm SOT-23 package and features over 1°C/W thermal resistance and up to +3% accuracy.

The MIC5233-5.0BM5-TR is stable with very low ESR ceramic output capacitors (X7R and Y5V) and can be used in a wide range of temperatures from -40°C to +125°C.
