In addition to their low-power, small footprint and high performance, the MIC810TUY-TR devices offer the latest advancements in voltage and temperature monitoring, system and system reset functionality, overvoltage protection and much more. This article provides an overview of the application field and working principle of the MIC810TUY-TR devices.The MIC810TUY-TR is a PMIC supervisor, designed to provide a variety of voltage and temperature monitoring, system and system reset functions, overvoltage protection and various other features to ensure the system remains stable and reliable. The MIC810TUY-TR devices are qualified for use in a range of portable and handheld mobile and IoT applications, such as medical, industrial, aerospace, automotive and consumer products, among others. In addition, the devices feature a wide range of features, including but not limited to, low-dropout (LDOs) for device-level power efficiency, integrated programmable reset controller, built-in watchdog timer, overvoltage protection, user-selective power-up sequence, and temperature indication.The MIC810TUY-TR devices feature an integrated programmable reset controller and integrated power-on reset circuit, which enable a wide range of system and system reset functions, such as power-on reset and power-down reset, system reset and power reset, reset during high temperature, reset after a system failure, watchdog timer reset and battery-backed reset. The reset controller also provides an adjustable reset delay time, trim delays, adjustable reset thresholds, and adjustable reset detection periods.The MIC810TUY-TR devices offer a wide range of overvoltage protection features, allowing the user to select the most suitable protection method, which provides protection against large transients, charge-pump-induced supply overshoots, and sudden voltage surges. The overvoltage sector can be configured in wide range of ways and the user can choose to set the tolerance levels for power-good and power-fail outputs.In addition, the MIC810TUY-TR offers an advanced temperature indication function. This function can detect temperature levels above an adjustable limit and indicate these levels with a pin. A thermal warning threshold can also be set, which will trigger an interrupt when the temperature exceeds a certain level. This allows designers to prevent system damage due to high temperatures.Finally, the MIC810TUY-TR devices feature a variety of low power modes and a low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator for device-level power efficiency. The low power modes provide a range of power saving options, such as multiple standby current levels, including a standby current that is lower than the leakage current of the device, low power current sweep and deep sleep power modes.In conclusion, the MIC810TUY-TR provides a wide range of features and functions that enable designs with advanced power management and voltage and temperature monitoring capabilities.
