The MIKROE-1206 is a small yet versatile embedded module designed for a variety of applications in the fields of industrial control, medical and consumer electronics, automotive, and other applications. The MIKROE-1206 features a small form factor and is able to be mounted directly onto a board or a PCB without any additional wiring or assembly. The module is equipped with six active inputs and outputs that allow for significant flexibility and scalability when it comes to the configuration of the module and the number of devices that can be connected to it. Furthermore, the MIKROE-1206 is also easily integrated with other modules and components through the use of a wide range of peripheral buses including CAN Bus, I2C, and SPI.
At its core, the MIKROE-1206 utilizes the C-PHYAT32 processor from CYPRESS. This 32-bit processor has an embedded ARM Cortex-M3 processor, which provides extensive capabilities and superior performance. The ARM Cortex-M3 processor is also capable of supporting Direct Memory Access (DMA) and Direct Memory Interface (DMI) to provide fast buffering and data transfers. Additionally, the processor can be configured to support a variety of external memory options including FLASH, SRAM, EEPROM, and ROM.
In order to ensure a reliable and secure operation of the MIKROE-1206, the module is also equipped with a set of advanced security features.
