Working Principle
MK22FN1M0VLQ12 incorporates the ARM Cortex-M4 core and provides clock speeds up to 48 MHz. It is designed using the 40nm Silicon-Germanium (SiGe) BiCMOS process, which provides superior performance with very low current consumption. This MCU offers the most cost-effective solution for designs requiring multiple CAN ports, low power consumption, and a wide operating voltage range.
The device operates from 1.12V to 3.6V DC supply and can be powered from two external power domains including the main supply and an analog domain supply. The on-chip low-dropout (LDO) regulator ensures continuous power regulation even while the main supply voltage is changing. This MCU is designed to operate with either 16 or 32-bit software, allowing designers to maximize performance while minimizing code size and supporting multiple development environments.
The MCU features a number of system peripherals including a 16-bit enhanced core timer, 12-bit ADC and DAC, up to four DMA (direct memory access) controllers, two timer/PWMs, three serial communications interfaces, two I2C and one SPI blocks, a quadrature decoder and three low-power wake-up interrupt lines. Additionally, it includes an AES-128 security subsystem with an on-board key store. The device is compatible with popular software development tools such as Keil® MDK-ARM®, IAR EWARM®, and Green Hills Software® Multi™.
