MK30DX256VLL7 (also known as MCU Kinetis K30) is a 32-bit microcontroller based on a ARM Cortex-M4 processor core. It provides a total of 256KB flash memory, 48KB SRAM and up to a 72MHz system clock. It also has several peripherals, including an integrated analog-to-digital converter, a zero-cross comparator, a dedicated I/O port, two FlexTimer/PWM channels and an 8-channel/16-bit serial communication peripheral (SCI).

Working Principle of MK30DX256VLL7

MK30DX256VLL7 is programmed by means of a M-series compiler toolchain, which enables the user to write applications in C and assembler. A debugger interfaces with the compiler toolchain for debugging the applications. The software development environment used for programming the device are the µVision IDE, the IAR Embedded Workbench, the Keil MDK compiler and debugger and the Atmel Studio 7.

The device operates on a 3.3V power supply and supports 12V I/O devices. The device includes flexible timer/PWM channels that can be used to generate various waveforms, including rectangular, PWM and sinusoidal. These channels are used to control the speed and phase of motors and other devices.

The device supports digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital conversions through its integrated A/D converter. The converter performs single-point successive approximation-type conversion at a maximum speed of 1 Msps. The device is also capable of automatic in-circuit programming via the EEPROM programming tool.
