MK5812S application field and working principle

Clock/Timing - Clock Generators, PLLs, Frequency Synthesizers use the MK5812S (H8/3146B) Frequency Synthesizer circuit to generate precision and reliable signals. The MK5812S is an 8-bit control logic circuit with an internal reference clock divider, dedicated logic from selection, status registers and power switch control logic. It provides a programmable frequency from 5 to 150kHz in the range of 0 to 1kHz resolution and precision controlled by a single reference clock (6MHz to 20MHz).The MK5812S is particularly suited for providing a clock signal for frequency-controlled devices.
