MK5814S is a precision low power single-loop frequency synthesizer (F-Synthesizer) which is widely applied in the field of clock and timing for clock generation, phase-locked-loop (PLL) and frequency synthesis. This F-Synthesizer provides programmable output frequency, ranging from 1KHz to 100MHz. It also provides a very low current consumption and a tiny package size of 8-pin SOP.

The working principle of MK5814S mainly includes five blocks: a pre-scaler, a charge pump, a programmable reference frequency divider (FRDIV), a feedback frequency divider (FBDIV) and a non-overlapping circuit.
