Motion sensors are a vital part of many systems, most commonly as accelerometers. Accelerometers measure the linear acceleration of a body in response to an applied force or the rate of change in its velocity. The MMA7340LR2 is a three-axis (X, Y, Z) accelerometer, a type of transducer which converts mechanical movement into an electrical signal. The MMA7340LR2 is an ultra-low-power accelerometer designed for use in applications such as tilt sensing, tilt angle measurement, motion tracking, and motion discrimination.
