Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS), or also known as Transient Voltage Protection (TVP) devices, represent an important development in electronic technology. The device can safely withstand multiple transient spikes before the thermal shutdown feature kicks in, and the thermal management feature helps ensure that the device doesn’t overheat. It is also self-protecting, as if the voltage spike is too large, the device will short circuit itself to protect the other components on the circuit.
