MMSZ5232CT1G Is a Zener diode single that is used to regulate voltage levels. It is part of a family of devices used to regulate voltage by creating an unstable current that zaps an excess of electrons away. Working Principle
MMSZ5232CT1G is designed to prevent an undesired surge in voltage or current creating unbalanced temperatures, power wastage, and other problems. In forward bias operation, which happens when the anode of the diode is connected to a higher voltage than the cathode, current passes through the diode as it normally would in a diode. When the voltage across the diode reaches a specific threshold level known as the “zener voltage”, the diode enters the zener region. This causes the diode to act as a regulator, allowing only a limited amount of current to flow through the diode. The remainder of the above the zener voltage is kept at a steady voltage level thanks to the voltage clamping effect of the zener.
