Optoisolators are electronic devices which use light to isolate and protect signals and circuits from each other. They are also known as optical isolators or opto-isolators. The MOC205R1M is an optoisolator from Panasonic which offers transistor, photovoltaic output. This article will discuss its application field and working principle.
