The MOC208R2VM is an optoisolator in the Transistor, Photovoltaic Output family of devices. It is designed for superior optical performance with an extremely low leakage current, and low power dissipation, and is suitable for a variety of applications.

MOC208R2VM has two pins: one emitter pin and one photovoltaic output pin. The emitter pin provides a current controlled optical output. The photovoltaic output pin provides a voltage output proportional to the current in the emitter pin, and this output is separated from the emitter input. The MOC208R2VM isolator has an emission strength (intrinsic diode) of 25 A. The insulation barrier between the emitter and photovoltaic output pins is 56 Vrms. Additionally, the device has internal ESD protection, faster response time, and strong optical crosstalk immunity.
