In the world of TVS-Diodes, MSMLJ160CA stands out. It is an ultra-low capacitance (under 10 pF in some cases) diode designed for ESD protection, lightning protection, and other overvoltage protection applications. This type of diode is ideal for some of the most challenging environments, as it can offer both superior breakdown voltage and low junction capacitance. This makes it ideal for use in both analog and digital circuits and systems.
The MSMLJ160CA is a dual diode array composed of two silicon avalanche diodes. Each one provides ESD protection up to 16 kV (IEC 61000-4-2), as well as reverse breakdown voltages up to 160V. The device also features a surface-mount package that provides high-performance protection in a small footprint. The molded QFN plastic package offers up to 40% lower profile than other packages available on the market.

Luckily, the narrow-body QFN package of the MSMLJ160CA makes it highly suitable for packaging into shallow circuit boards, reducing the overall board size.
