The MUR130G is a high-efficiency, high-performance single-phase schottky rectifier bridge module used in power supplies and dc/dc converters. Employing the Schottky barrier technology, this module provides reliable and low-loss switching of currents up to 135A. It includes a low-impedance low-inductance ceramic baseplate with isolated terminals, which make it suitable for use with a variety of applications, such as AC/DC rectification, power conversion and other applications requiring high-efficiency and low-voltage switching of high-current power.The MUR130G’s main components include the main bridge rectifier, freewheeling diodes, varistor, fuse and an insulated metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOSFET) element. The main bridge rectifier is composed of a pair of high-voltage rectifiers which operate in series, allowing current to flow only in one direction, providing a low voltage drop (only 0.8V at full load) and high efficiency (up to 95%). The freewheel diodes provide freewheeling current during the reverse current flow at the end of the switching cycle. They also protect the main bridge rectifier from excessive reverse current. The varistor protects the module from overvoltages and transient voltages. The fuse prevents the excessive current from flowing across the module. Finally, the MOSFET element serves as a switch that is able to switch high-currents without creating a large voltage drop across the element.The MUR130G can be used for various applications, including AC/DC rectification, bidirectional power conversion and voltage regulation (VR). The MUR130G is often used in power supplies and dc/dc converters, as well as other applications requiring reliable and low-loss switching of high-current power.
