MXD1810XR41+T

MXD1810XR41+T is a member of Texas Instrument\'s family of supervisors for PMIC (power management integrated circuits). It is ideal for use in systems where the design requires isolation from high-voltage. It is used for both system-level power-up and power-down sequencing, as well as power supply monitoring and control. This supervisor IC provides voltage sensing and control features, precise over/under voltage protection, and input thermal regulation for high reliability in power applications.

This device contains two voltage supervisors, each with an individual programmable threshold voltage setting, a reset output, an interrupt output and a power-on reset (POR) output. The versatility of this device makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, such as PC motherboards, server motherboards, graphics cards, communication systems, and all other applications requiring precise over-voltage monitoring and protection.

MXD1810XR41+T operates with a wide range of voltages (2.2V to 5.5V). The voltage supervisor has a 5V tolerance on reset threshold adjustable in 10mV intervals (150mV – 5.6V). It offers programmable reset delay of up to 100ms and reset Pulse-width is typically 5.2ms. The reset output has an open-drain output which is triggered when the sense voltage falls below the reset threshold which then sources a reset signal which can drive an external pull-up for reset.

In addition to reset functionality, the MXD1810XR41+T also offers a windowed watchdog timer (WDT) feature. The WDT is triggered by a programmable counter which is reset whenever it is refreshed. The WDT output is an open-drain output that is triggered when the count reaches the programmable threshold. Furthermore, the supervisor also offers interrupt output which is triggered when the voltage is between two user-programmable thresholds.

The MXD1810XR41+T can also be used for power-good applications. It provides an advanced power-on reset (POR) latch with active low and active high output, programmable delay of up to 100ms, Brown-out detection and assertion lockout. The POR output is an open-drain output with an active state determined by the inputs to the latch and is output low when the input signals have been valid for a predefined time.
