MXL1.5KE9.1A Circuit Protection

As part of the Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) Diode range of components, the MXL1.5KE9.1A is a fast-acting Breakover Extension TVS Diode. It is designed to protect electrical circuits from voltage transients caused by lightning and other transient voltage events, and also offers a peak pulse power of 9.1 amps.

The MXL1.5KE9.1A works by quickly clamping high and low voltage transients to a safe level of 1.5V in both directions. With its fast response time of less than 1 nanosecond, it is an ideal choice for safeguarding high-speed data lines and computer logic circuits. It is also capable of absorbing large energy pulses many times its own maximum dissipation, and so ensures the safety and reliability of electronic systems in a variety of applications.

One application in which the MXL1.5KE9.1A is particularly effective is in the protection of automotive electrical systems. Many parts of modern automobiles, such as headlights, power window systems and other control modules, are vulnerable to potential damage caused by voltage transients.
