NB7L1008MMNG is a high speed CMOS Clock Driver with Fanout Buffer, developed by ON Semiconductor. The device is designed to meet the requirements of the ultra-high-speed and low power clock design, widely used in many synchronous high-speed systems. NB7L1008MMNG can replace multiple single clock driver or retiming devices with additional capabilities, such as skew compensation, frequency translation and multiple output signals.

NB7L1008MMNG Application Field

NB7L1008MMNG can be widely used in many clock and timing design applications. Such as microprocessor systems, communications, and digital signal processing (DSP) systems. Main applications include synchronous memory, bus interface logic, and clock distribution.

NB7L1008MMNG Working Principle

The NB7L1008MMNG employs state-of-the-art logic process to drive the fanout buffer and clock buffer. This fanout buffer features multiple configuration modes and incorporates automatic switchover function that enable the device to generate multiple synchronized outputs, while ensuring skew and jitter performance. The NB7L1008MMNG also allows the user to configure frequency translation and skew compensation functions. The Open-drain VDD circuit connected to output enable (OE) allows the user to turn on and off the output clock and buffer connection, saving power and further protecting the user’s design.

The NB7L1008MMNG input is capable of working with high-speed clocks and can supply one, two, or three outputs from the fanout buffer. The device can be powered from 3, 3.14, 2.8 or 2.5V single power supply. Active low “output enable” asserts or de-asserts the output buffers with user assigned switching speeds.
