The NCP304HSQ45T1G supervisor is designed to monitor voltage levels on its input pin, which is usually connected to the host microcontroller’s power-on reset (POR) pin. In order to effectively protect the microcontroller, the supervisor will keep the host microcontroller in reset as long as the monitored voltage is below the threshold voltage. The supervisor has two main reset outputs, a reset (R) pin and a reset-guard (RG) pin.
