LED Drivers are an important component in modern electronics and are thus widely used in many systems. The NCP3066SCBSTGEVB evaluation board is an application field developed to evaluate the performance of the NCP3066 NOR gate, an input-driven IGBT gate driver specially designed for green LEDs and RGB LED lighting applications. This evaluation board, based on the NCP3066 gate driver, can be used to measure the efficiency, power, forward voltage, and pin configuration of green LED, RGB LED, and other LED lighting applications.
The NCP3066 gate driver is an input-driven one-shot IGBT gate driver featuring a wide range of adjustable gate current and delay parameters. The NCP3066 gate driver is comprised of a power stage and gate driver stage. Its power stage consists of two input pins; one positive voltage and one negative voltage. All of the output pins of the NCP3066 gate driver feature 30mA of drive current, adjustable up to 50mA, to ensure driving small but powerful LEDs and other devices. Furthermore, the NCP3066 gate driver includes an adjustable delay range of up to 20µs, which can be adjusted to determine the optimum gate drive cycle.
The NCP3066SCBSTGEVB application board is designed to accurately evaluate and simulate the NCP3066 gate driver in any design. It contains two phases, each of which is independently programmable for controlling two LEDs. The board features two input voltage pins and eighteen GPIOs to simulate the NCP3066 NOR gate driver. These GPIOs can be individually programmed to achieve desired values for the various components of the NCP3066 gate driver.
The NCP3066SCBSTGEVB application board has several operational parameters, each of which is adjustable. These parameters include the input voltage, output voltage, current limit, waveform, and frequency.
