Working Principle
The general purpose of using the NCV300LSN185T1G supervisor is its ability to safely reset microprocessors as part of a power-on-reset. This device accomplishes this by monitoring the supply voltage, which is referred to as the VCC supply. The high voltage side of the voltage sensor is connected to the VCC supply and the low voltage side is connected to GND. The center tap is connected to the threshold terminal.
The voltage sensor is configured to provide a reset signal when the voltage on the VCC supply drops below the programmed threshold level. If a power failure occurs, the reset signal is generated, and the microprocessor can be reset to its initial state and restarted.
