NCV3066 is a high efficient, low cost Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) integrated circuit (IC) for driving LEDs. It is a high performance controller for buck-boost or boost-only LED driver applications. The highly integrated standard boost-only channel comes with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 40V and a maximum output current of 1.5A, with an internal thermal overload protection, short circuit protection and linear current control. It utilizes a digital Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control circuit to regulate the LED current to a predetermined level.

The IC also provides two analog inputs with precision voltage reference, allowing 4-step dimming through either a digital or an analog current adjustment. The IC also supports a high side current sense input with a programmable current measurement range that allows a more precise LED current regulation when the LED string voltage drops too low.
