Working Principle

The NCV8518APWR2G voltage regulator operates based on the principle of pulse-width modulation. This means that the regulator is capable of controlling the output voltage of the buck converter by modulating the duty cycle of the input clock signal.The device contains an integrated N-channel MOSFET and a precision, integrated internal oscillator to generate the PWM signal.
