DC-DC converters are used to efficiently convert one DC voltage to another DC voltage. The NCV887801BSTGEVB Evaluation Board is an easy to use solution of one such solution, which conforms to the recently released ON Semiconductor Regulated Standard Voltage (RSV) specification. This evaluation board is based on the NCV887801 and NCV887601B ICs and is suitable for a variety of applications, such as 24 V power management systems, 24V automotive electronics, mobile phones, solar energy systems, and test and measurement applications.

The board allows for the evaluation of up to 6-phase interleaved operation, step-down (Buck) configuration, and an input voltage of minimum 4 V and maximum 36 V. The output voltage can be regulated ranging from 0.8 V to 5.75 V. The board also features Thermal Shutdown, which prevents overheating and potential damage during operation, an internal Soft-Start, peak current limit and short circuit protection.

The NCV887801BSTGEVB Evaluation Board provides outstanding system efficiency, achieved by careful selection of the inductor, capacitors, and MOSFETs.
