OM10094 allows users to eliminate production issues through prototyping and verifying functionality prior to beginning production.The main features of the OM10094 evaluation board includes an Infineon Technologies XMC4500 ARM Cortex-M4 32-bit microcontroller, and a Texas Instruments (TI) 32-bit TMS320 C28x Digital Signal Processor (DSP).The XMC4500 microcontroller is based on the ARM Cortex-M4 core and includes the extra floating-point unit, memory protection unit, and debug logic. It has 128KB on-chip flash memory, 64KB on-chip RAM, and additional 28KB for the ROM Boot Loader, 24KB of EEPROM, and some other peripherals.The TI digital signal processor (DSP) offers a performance of up to 150 MIPS/MHz. It also has 32-bit RISC architecture with four functional blocks – the Instruction Unit (IU), Data Path Unit (DPU), System Integration Module (SIM) and Timer Unit (TU) – all integrated on the same chip.In terms of external memory, OM10094 features 128KB of SRAM, 1MB of SPI Flash, 1MB of NOR Flash and 64KB of QSPI Serial SRAM. It also has dedicated memory bus, XRAM, and an integrated USB 2.0 High-Speed OTG.The OM10094 also offers a multiple of peripherals such as DI/DO, AM/PM, PWMs, UARTs and CAN for a number of projects. There is also four dedicated ethernet ports, two UARTs and four TS connectors.The OM10094 board ecosystem offers fully integrated software development tools such as a GUI platform, code compiler, RTOSes, and several libraries. These allow users to program their applications in different programming languages such as C/C++ and assembly.The OM10094 evaluation board working principle can be summarized as follows:1.
