Thyristors, or Silicon-Controlled Rectifiers (SCRs), are semiconductor components that can control current flow by blocking or passing high amounts of electrical current. When triggered, they act as switches and pass current. These devices are used in a wide variety of applications from small consumer electronics to large industrial manufacturing machines. The P3500ECMCLRP2 is a high-voltage/high-current thyristor and is particularly well-suited for use in high-power applications where current control and protection are necessary.
