The PCA9519BS is a part of the NXP Semiconductors I2C-bus marque of the signature line of buffering, I2C repeaters, splitting, and other interface-signal activities. As part of this series, the PCA9519BS offers medium- and large-scale system designs an ultimate buffering solution to unchain hostage I2C-bus hosts.The PCA9519BS works on a complimentary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS ) technology. Its universal output buffers are capable of driving loads up to 120mA in push-pull, latching, and open-drain configurations, with lower current draw on devices with higher current output capability.This interface-signal buffer block is designed to increase the bus current capability of a given bus load network. It provides a higher bus current than what could be provided by a single I2C-bus master device, eliminating the need for additional support circuitry. Additionally, it\'s designed to protect the system from overshoots, undershoots, and other noise-related problems.The PCA9519BS includes a one-wire interface, a two-wire interface, and an advanced clock synchronization technology to provide an efficient and reliable back-end interface for a variety of medium- and high-end systems.This I2C-bus buffer is in the form of a chip package containing four internal outputs, referred to as 3:2:2. The internal 3,2 and 2 bit outputs of the core represent the three- wire and two-wire configurations of the PCA9519BS, respectively. The I2C-bus end block is designed to provide minimal loading and maximum isolation between the bus nodes and the controller devices connected to the bus.The PCA9519BS can support a variety of applications, including digital video processing, microcontroller and embedded systems, media processing, encryption and authentication, digital electronic signature and document management, wireless access point and wireless base stations, and digital video broadcasting.The PCA9519BS is virtual oriented, meaning it operates in an asynchronous environment capable of adapting to rapidly changing environments. It features clock speed scaling with a minimal switching noise of less than 1.5mV peak-to-peak. Additionally, it offers robust diagnostics and monitoring in both normal and fault conditions, for maximum functioning and optimization.The PCA9519BS also boasts built-in protection from over and under voltage, surge and transient voltages, and other noise-related problems.The working principle of the PCA9519BS is that it acts as a buffer between two I2C-bus components. It takes an input signal (a protocol packet) and passes it through its buffer circuit unchanged, e.g., with no delay or modifications. This feature allows the signal to flow easily between two bus components without any chances of data loss. The PCA9519BS serves in a wide variety of roles, from providing I2C-bus buffering and repeater capability, to providing isolation and signal conditioning for downstream devices. Its multiple I2C interface modes, high-performance buffering, and robust protection make it a powerful choice for all types of signal-conditioning needs.
