PI3105-00-EVAL1 evaluation board is used to evaluate offline SMPS (switched mode power supply) topologies. It can be used for offline AC/DC or DC/DC SMPS evaluation. It is a single-stage, isolated SEPIC (single-ended primary-inductor converter) flyback topology. It is packaged along with the well-known PI3105-00 controller IC for easy evaluation of offline switching power supplies, up to 75 W in either a fixed frequency pulsed-mode or continuous variable frequency current mode.
PI3105-00-EVAL1 evaluation board consists of a core power switch, controller IC, a pulsed optocoupler, a NCP1200 PWM controller, a ferrite inductor, a low profile SOT-89 package and several other peripheral components. It operates from an input voltage range of 4.75-15V and can provide output power up to 75W with an efficiency of up to 85%.
