The PI3110-01-EVAL1 is an evaluation board used for testing the operation of a wide range of AC/DC and DC/DC SMPS. It has been designed to provide a convenient platform for the evaluation of the PI3110-01-C and PI3110-01-L devices, which are used to construct a wide variety of off-line power supplies. It contains a regulated full-wave center-tapped rectifier, which transforms the mains AC voltage into a regulated DC output voltage, with provisions for voltage and current regulation. A PWM switch is included in the board to allow the switching of the DC output voltage, and a wide range of adjustable components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, and transformers are also provided. Additionally, the board contains a three-phase power stage composed of n-channel MOSFETs to allow for the fine-tuning of the operation of the PI3110-01-C and PI3110-01-L devices.The PI3110-01-EVAL1 board is designed to provide a wide range of different operating frequencies for the PI3110-01-C and PI3110-01-L devices, allowing the designer to verify the operation of the device at frequencies from 80kHz to 500kHz.
