The PI3109-00-EVAL1 chip is a powerful and efficient system-on-chip (SoC) power supply controller built with P/I-RIPPER switching power topology. RI on the chip is the main regulator that interfaces with an external field-effect transistor (FET) to provide a high-performance, tight-regulation power supply of up to 1.8 Amp with dynamic load and line regulation within 0.1 Vpp. It also provides constant current limiting, hysteresis over-voltage protection, and frequency jittering to prevent EMI/EMC issues.

The PI3109-00-EVAL1 combines RI and the Pre-Driver drivers to deliver a highly integrated compact package with tight regulation.
