This multiplied signal is then passed back to the Phase Detector and the process is repeated.

Finally, the output signal from the VCO is then sent to different frequency dividers to be converted to different Clock Frequency Outputs (CFOs) with the exact same phase and timing as the reference clock. By adjusting the VCO control voltage, the frequency of the CFO can be adjusted over a wide range.
