Ferrite Beads and Chips are a type of filter material commonly created from ferrite and ceramics, and generally applied in high frequency EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) suppression and ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) protection circuits. The Ferrite Beads and Chips found in PMC0603-600 provide effective EMI/RFI suppression and ESD protection, while allowing higher signal integrity in broadband applications.PMC0603-600 is a Ferrite Beads and Chips package formed by using a high-precision drilling machine to accurately shape ferrite powder into a circular surface, then performing precision molding, shaping, and machining processes. This design helps improve signal integrity, as well as reduce signal reflection and radiation when used in high frequency circuits.This Ferrite Beads and Chips package consists of a 40-Pin design with an open loop configuration. It offers an operating temperature of -55ºC to +125ºC, and is rated for a temperature coefficient of 0.2 for an impedance range of 300 ohms to 10k ohms. The package also has a high resistance to electromagnetic interference, with a leakage current of 0.25mA @ 60Hz. It is tested to meet the requirements of UL94- V0/V1, UL14V0/V1, UL60950-1 and FCC15-20.1.PMC0603-600 works by using a process called ohmic heating, which is a way of controlling electrical currents by passing electrical charges through the material and using the magnetic fields generated to create opposing forces. In other words, when a high frequency signal passes through the Ferrite Beads and Chips, the material creates an opposing force, which absorbs and dissipates the energy through the material.
