Thyristors - TRIACs are the most frequently used devices in many electronic application fields. The Q201E3RP model is a typical three terminal TRIAC device, combining the features of both SCR and DIAC together. That is, it can switch off the electric circuit in both positive and negative voltage through gating element.
The Q201E3RP model is especially used in cases where high current or power needs to be controlled in a variable manner. This device allows for variable control of AC voltage and current during applications such as motor control, home automation, lighting control and determining power levels of various power supplies.
The working principle of the Q201E3RP model is quite simple and is usually implemented by using a gating element in the device.
