The Q4015N5TP is a 4A, 1500V AC power thyristor, extensively used in AC power control and motor speed control applications. Its maximum power dissipation is 350W and operating temperature range is -40°C to +135°C. The Q4015N5TP has an anode-gate, gate-cathode, and anode-cathode breakdown voltage of 30V, 5V and 800V respectively. The on-state current is 1.35A and the off-state leakage current is 0.1mA. It also features a low turn-on and turn-off times, and a gate trigger current of 5mA.

The Q4015N5TP thyristor is turned on when a positive current is connected to the gate terminal. Once the thyristor is triggered, it remains in the on-state until the current is removed or a negative pulse is sent to the gate terminal. When the thyristor is turned off, the current and voltage across the device are reduced to zero.
