Working Principle
RF2052TR13 works on the principle of quadrature up-conversion. This quadrature mixer takes one LO (low IF signal) and HF signal as inputs and produces other two output signals which are the difference between primary frequency and LO frequency and the sum between them. The quadrature mixer has both a real (in-phase) and imaginary (quadrature-phase) component, producing four output signals; these components are combined to form two independent outputs.
The RF2052TR13 is designed to operate with two output ports, allowing it to work at two frequencies simultaneously. The two phases of the mixer are realized by varying the amplitude of the waveforms by a preset factor, resulting in 90° phase difference between each mixers. The two outputs are also fed through two springs to ensure 180° relative phase shift between the two outputs. This mixer generates much lower out of band because of its LO signal isolation.
