RT6236AHGQUF Application Field and Working Principle

RT6236AHGQUF is a DC to DC switching regulator in the power management integrated circuit (PMIC). It is a high-efficiency replacement for linear regulators that significantly reduce power losses due to heat, achieving a high power-saving rate over linear voltage regulators. Its working principle is to control a power switch by integrating a voltage regulator and a PWM switch. DC-DC convertors typically require input and output capacitors, inductors, and a controllable device (Switch). Two main types of DC-DC switching regulators include Step-Down Converters (Buck) and Step-Up Converters (Boost).
