The RT6236ALGQUF provides a high power conversion efficiency resulting from 1.5A integrated switch, PFM/PWM auto switching, 700KHz switching frequency, and an adjustable output voltage (1.2V – 3.6V). This converter is extremely suitable for widely varying input supply or load changes with its wide input voltage range (2.5V to 5.5V). Furthermore, the device features an internal compensation network, soft-start time, and over-voltage protection with under-voltage lockout prevent any damage caused to the product with an incorrect response. It stands out with its quiescent current of 75μA and its low shutdown current of 0.1μA.

This regulated converter performs the regulated output functions in two stages (high-side regulator and low-side regulator) to minimize the peak inductor current, improving efficiency and reducing losses. The RT6236ALGQUF also includes an internal type II compensation network and a proprietary auto-skip mode that allows the converter to enter low-ripple pulse frequency modulation (PFM) operation at light-load conditions to further improve efficiency.

Integrating a 700kHz operating frequency allows for efficient and smaller inductor and capacitor size to save board space of the RT6236ALGQUF.Input current in weakly coupled transformer winding, low light load capacitive load, and natural output discharging can be adjusted with its fixed peak current limit and the internal proportionally current limit. And it is used to reduce the EMI during natural output discharging process with adjustable frequency.
