Working Principle
The current source mode of RT7235GCP is a constant frequency current mode control. When the voltage at the FB pin increases to 877 mV, the internal error amplifier changes the status from OFF to ON, and then turns On the driving switch. During the ON time of the switch, due to the output voltage error, the current source increases the switching frequency. On the other hand, the current source also has slope compensation, so that the peak current is determined by the inductor current during the ON period. When the output voltage meets the setting value, the slope and current ratio of the voltage error amplifier will be adjusted. When the inductor current decreases to the set level, the current source will be paused and enter the OFF state. The differential amplifier ensures that the current source is accuracy. The feedback circuit slices the inductor current to feedback the RI pin. Then, the ZCD pin is designed to compare the voltage of FB and RI pin. Whenever the difference voltage between them is higher than the lower and upper threshold voltage, the differential amplifier will produce a large current and control the driving switch between ON and OFF time. During the OFF time, the discharge switch will switch the output voltage to feedback input pin FB. This voltage will start to increase until detect the error amplifier continues to turn on the switch, therefore the regulating process goes on.
