The RT8105GS is a DC/DC switching controller IC from Richtek Technology Corporation. It is a multi-functional integrated circuit that can be used in a variety of power management applications ranging from non-isolated and isolated converters to POL regulators. The RT8105GS is a primary side controller with self-supplied control and offers the advantage of eliminating traditional opto-coupler components, reduces the component count and total system cost, while delivering robust design.

The RT8105GS is designed to provide a high efficiency output with low total harmonic distortion (THD) in multiple types of non-isolated DC/DC converter and/or POL regulator topologies, such as flyback and step-down. The RT8105GS features a wide range of input voltage (6V to 42V) and output current range (up to 3A) along with full load efficiency up to 96%. The RT8105GS series provide two independent low drop-out (LDO) regulators which enables powering the external circuitry from the output voltage, generating different voltages other than the output voltage and replacing linear regulator
