The RT9527AGQW is an adjustable linear lithium battery charger from Richtek, suitable for wide battery range from 1 Li-ion / Li-polymer cell to 4 Li-ion / Li-polymer cells. With a 1.2MHz switching frequency, it is slim and small, with a maximum typ. of 8.0mm x 8.0mm x 2.6mm packaged in a WLCSP package. It features 1.8MHz maximum oscillation frequency, fast, accurate and safe charging, reverse current protection, high battery temperature protection as well as input OVP protection. It is also equipped with adjustable current limit, attach detection, power path management and other sophisticated technology to support battery charging, suitable for applications such as tablets, ultrabooks, and other consumer electronics.

The RT9527AGQW charger uses a synchronous buck topology with secondary side diode which allows the presence of an inductor on the primary side only and provides excellent power efficiency. It integrates a high accuracy voltage reference, sharp circuit, and excellent linear control loop to ensure accuracy and fast charging.
