Radiant Electronic\'s RTB14018 single-phase, 2-ampere power relay is designed to provide reliable and cost-effective device switching for industrial and commercial applications. The RTB14018 measures 11.45mm x 19.05mm x 14.5mm with a minimum switching capacity of 2A. This highly reliable miniature form factor relay with switching range between 2A and 110/120VAC or 1A at 250VAC, is designed to meet the needs of space-limited applications.

The RTB14018 consists of a coil (a coil of insulated copper wire wrapped around a soft iron core) and a contact point. When the relay is switched on, the coil creates a magnetic field, which actuates the contact arm. The contact arm is triggered by the magnetic field, then moving the contact point to its open or closed position, depending on the direction in which the coil is energized. When the coil is not energized, the contact point returns to its original state, either open or closed.

The RTB14018 functioning as both a normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) relay. In normally open mode, current passes through the coil when the relay is switched on and the contact points close. In normally closed mode, current passes through the contact points when the relay is switched off and the coil is not energized. This flexibility provides more control over device switching applications than a traditional switch.

The RTB14018 is designed to operate in temperature ranges of -30°C to +75°C with a maximum operating humidity of 90%. It has a maximum wattage rating of 4.8W and features a minimum ve of 20mΩ. Its operating voltage range is 6VAC to 250VAC/50-60Hz. The RTB14018 is also designed with a flammability rating of UL94V-0, resistivity resistance of 500V rms, contact bounce time of less than 5ms, and dielectric strength of 2000Vrms with a minimum insulation distance of 1.5 mm.
