When the voltage at the Anode decreases so that the voltage between Anode and MC is less than 0.6V, the device stops conduction and the thyristor is said to be in the off-state.

The reverse breakover voltage is the voltage between the Anode and K terminals when the SCR turns OFF. If a current flows through the device, the SCR is said to be in the on-state, effectively functioning as a closed switch.
