SA10ARL

The SA10ARL is a surface-mount, unidirectional, ultra-low capacitance transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode. This device is designed to provide high-energy protection against damaging voltage transients up to 600W peak pulse power per line. This SA10ARL diode will protect against the saturation and reverse breakdown voltages of the output voltage.

The SA10ARL can be used in a variety of applications, including surge suppression for personal computers, electronics instrumentation, telecom/networking systems, automotive, and any other equipment that requires transient voltage spike protection. This device can also be used to limit its inrush current for DC/DC converters.

The SA10ARL features a wide working temperature range to ensure reliable performance in harsh environmental conditions, with guaranteed performance from -55°C to +130°C. The working principle of the SA10ARL is based on the avalanche breakdown effect. The device is composed of a junction of P-type and N-type semiconductor materials. At the moment when the applied voltage is higher than the breakdown voltage, the junction will allow a specific amount of current to flow which will then reduce the voltage across the junction. This phenomenon is known as avalanche breakdown.
