The SA14CA A0G is a do-it-all type of TVS diode that offers a wide range of features and performance benefits.

Working Principle

The working principle of the SA14CA A0G is based on a Zener diode\'s depletion mode characteristics. This behavior affords the TVS diode with excellent surge protection capabilities and an instantaneous response to overloads and ESD.

The SA14CA A0G is designed to use the Zener diode as an active component. The Zener diode is connected in parallel with a circuit diode, which is used as a conductor in reverse bias. When the voltage across the Zener diode is large enough, it will breakdown and conduct the current, thus creating a low-resistance path that absorbs some of the energy from the transient.
