<p>The SAMI-4I (Systemized Application Method of Interoperability for Information) is an application field as well as a working principle for data exchange and access. SAMI-4I is based on two sets of technology: a standardized messaging protocol for exchanging data among parties, and a set of rules and processes that govern the communication between them. The messaging protocol is designed to ensure that all messages sent and received are compliant with the standardized Message Exchange Protocol (MEP). The rules and processes govern the exchange of information between two or more parties.</p><p>SAMI-4I was initially developed to provide a platform for data exchange between distributed systems. SAMI-4I is a proven technology for data exchange between heterogeneous systems, that is, systems that do not necessarily use the same language or platform. This means it enables data exchange between a variety of systems, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, data warehouses, CRM (customer relationship management) and business analytics systems. The technology provides a degree of interoperability that facilitates the flow of data between systems.</p><p>The SAMI-4I platform consists of four primary components: the message exchange protocol (MEP), the data exchange framework (DXF), the data exchange rules (DEXR) and the data exchange user interface (DEXUI). The MEP is at the heart of SAMI-4I and is responsible for the communication between systems. The DXF provides an interface for the data to be exchanged and can be used for monitoring, logging and other data-related tasks. The DEXR enables the communication between different systems and ensures data exchange efficiency. The DEXUI is where the data is presented and interacted with by users.</p><p>In order for two parties to benefit from SAMI-4I they must agree to use the system to transfer data. The process of agreeing to the terms of the SAMI-4I platform is referred to as systemization. Systemization requires inter-party agreement on the content, format, and meaning of the data to be exchanged. Once this has been agreed upon, both parties can move forward with the implementation of SAMI-4I. </p><p>Once SAMI-4I is implemented, data is exchanged using the MEP and DEXR, and then routed to the DXF. The DXF uses a web service to transform the data into an agreed upon format and then routes it to the recipient. The DEXUI is then used to present the data to the user. SAMI-4I can be used for many applications, including data warehousing, integration, business intelligence, and others.</p><p>The SAMI-4I application field and working principle thus provides a platform for data exchange between parties that agree to comply with its rules and processes. The platform is relatively easy to implement and provides a degree of interoperability that is not possible with traditional data exchange methods. SAMI-4I is an effective way to exchange data for applications such as data warehousing, integration, business intelligence, and others.</p>
